sweet sweeny, xmas comes early!! back at the end of the 70s i was resigned that my clutch of 3rd ear lps would never be added - then from the 90s o i seemed to come across the start of a stream of legit semi-legit and outlaw cds - culminating in this!
many thanks, qef
Hi,
about the tracks from 1971, I've got three of them from an old tape that someone sent me from Japan with a different source: Sound of 71, from the famous radio programme conducted by the 'wishpering' Bob Harris...
You can read an article about it in my new blog dedicated to TEB at this address: http://ghettoraga.blogspot.com
Anyway thanks.
The last three tracks are indeed from that BBC broadcast, not "Beat Club" German TV. Another incredibly rare TEB recording -
Live at Teatro Impavidi, Sarzana, Italy 11th Jan 1989;

Hope the dragon wakes soon...
This is the usual source for the Sounds of the 70s session - it skips the beginning of Water & you can hear The Cliff Adams singers cutting through with The Drunken Sailor at the end of Eternity in D! This sounds pretty horribly compressed though. For a better sound see my wee video on YouTube, although here I've edited the beginning somewhat to cut to the chase of this quite remarkable track. Hyde Park here is from the YouTube video - I have a longer one (7 minutes + I think) but the sound isn't so good...
