Vin was one of those artists that graciously requested his music not be shared here. Appreciate that you took the link down.

.....you know my friends...? not (only) specifically related to Vin Garbutt (who by the way sounds like the scrap copy of Dave Cousins), but speaking in general: after spending years, tens of years, hunting after some of the most rare albums all over the world (and - thankgod - me, at least, I did manage to find them!), after seeing so many artists today, who prevent us to download the reissues of their albums, whatever their motivations are, assuming even (as an extreme case) that they may be right, i really get the need to suggest you to stop for good to talk about them, to make publicity for them, especially for those who still are in activity, who neglect the fact that further proselitism can possibly be developed mainly thanks to Blog like this....
And let me also tell you some positive news, my friends: seek and you 'll find, so many of these albums are also available searching... ehmmm,... "around" the net ;) Thank you, cheers.

I recall that this live show was available on the festival site, to download for 15.00 AUS. - don't know whether Vin gets a cut of same.
I believe with Vin, as with Dougie MacLean, some of the older albums that are out of print, they no longer have the rights for, and I know with Dougie they did release CD's of some of his earlier ones (Plant Life), that is after trying to get Dougie to pay a high fiqure to get the rights back, which he refused to do.
This is also the case with Vin I think, so for those earlier ones, say like "Tin Whistle Pest, King Gooden" Valley of Tees, etc., you would think the artist wouldn't mind those being available to download, as there are no monies being lost, as they are out of print.
As the other commenter mentioned, it is fun to search and find those old charms, which I must say for both the above artists I have accomplished.
Cheers.

The question of posting currently available albums here has been debated before, wwith little agreement. The fairest solution seems to be to post a couple of sample tracks and let people know where to buy the whole album if they like them.
