Dirk was a very special person, a strong man and a great friend.
He always will be present along with the music that he liked, and also gave us life's lessons of strength and courage.

His astonishing courage and maturity for one so young set an example which few of us could ever aspire to, whatever our age. His insightful commentaries on the music he loved were equally mature and always relevant. I too sometimes revisit Cities on Flame to remember this very special person who touched so many of us in his brief but very significant life. R.I.P.
