May I ask for 2 albums which were
dear to me over 30 years ago:
John James "Morning brings the light" and his second album, just called "John James" (both on
Transatlantic). 10 years ago I sold
all my vinyl, have regretted it ever since and recovered some of
the treasures thanks to you, Lizardson! Best wishes from Austria

Thank you very much for replacing the link. Your blog is fantastic, I have found albums here that I never thought I'd ever have the pleasure of listening to.
Words can't describe my gratitude to you and your friends

For Günther: I think I am now the owner of your copy of Morning brings the light, I found it about 6 ys ago in the (now closed) Steve's USA records Shop. I can't imagine that a second copy of that LP is existing here in Vienna. I will make a vynil rip of the LP and post it in EMule , given that I'm a real dummy for these internet uploadings.
Cheers, long live Spirogyra!

Hi, did you manage to rip Morning Brings The Light. I would love to hear it but cannot seem to find it anywhere!

John James was featured on 6music on Sunday. They played a few of his BBC sessions from the 70s. You can listen to it here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00pd5fg

He's on from about 28minutes in.
