crumhorn? crumhorn!!!
i saw someone playing one of these a couple of years ago. an odd duo that played about 30 instruments between the two of them, mostly in a celtic vein but including some excursions on sitar. the man had a whole collection of different-sized crumhorns, and they had a really striking, unnerving tone.
