I actually really like this cover. Just because someone covers a classic song doesn't make it 'vandalism'. Well done Alison O'Donnell and FdM for a great release.
100% my favourite Nick Drake track, not so convinced by this version but it is certainly interesting hearing it in a different light and one I wouldn't avoid listening to again.
Brad Mehldau's version is one that I've found more and more pleasure in over the past two or three years, but that may be because it feels a lot more separated from the original unlike this interpretation.
