I appreciate the effort, and I hate to point things out, but:
Technical notes:
1-- where did the high frequencies go?
2-- There are two little snippets from the original UK LP release -- my copy at least -- which are not on this version. From that UK LP, there was an instrumental coda to "Coal Creek Mine," and there was a reprise of "The Generals Are Born Again" leading into "Between the Wars."
Those little treats disappeared from all known CD versions of this album. (There is a US CD edition which at least keeps the same track order, and then there are European CD issues which resequence the whole thing. )
Nothing is perfect. :) Again, I do appreciate the effort.
