The Nits - The Nits (1978)
The Nits are a Dutch band with an everchanging line-up. They've been making music since the late seventies. They wrote tens of what I'd call 'perfect pop songs in every genre : new-wave (In the Dutch Mountains, Woman Cactus), jazzy pop (three sisters, Nescio), etc... Some of them are very raw : just piano and voice (the amazing Cars&cars), others are heavily produced or orchestrated... I never understood why such an obviously talented band never got any kind of success in the UK...
Only about 1000 copiesof this release have been printed. To my knowledge this was also not re-released on CD. The band signed their contract with CBS after this LP. Probably unavailable by now.
