Royston Wood & Heather Wood
"No Relation" 1977

*Front cover is from Spanish LP.
In 1977 the two Woods issued what might be called a follow-up, No Relation, which explored the early music idea further, on some excellently researched material like "A Shepherd Of The Downs" -- and the wounds had healed enough for Bellamy to contribute to a few songs like "Come Ye Who Fear The Lord," whose ineffable harmonies make them sound remarkably like... the Young Tradition. Add in the very rare Chicken On a Raft EP that came between the two records, and you have the complete latter days of the Young Tradition. ~ Chris Nickson, All Music Guide
Musicians:
Heather Wood
Rooyston Wood
Peter Bellamy
Pennie Harris
Tony Hall
Simon Nicol
Peter Kirtley
Ashley Hutchings

Just the songs from 19 to 30?
Means that it was a double lp?
Thanks anyway for this diamond in the mine.
This comes from a two on one CD with the Young Tradition's 'Galleries' (posted separately). Tracks 19-21 are the YT's 'Chicken On A Raft' EP, the rest are from the 'No Relation' LP. The CD does however omit several tracks from 'No Relation', namely 'The Cellar Door', 'Lovin' Bessie' and 'Chaconne In G Minor' which should sit between 'Will You Miss Me?' and 'Gloria Laus'. Anyone have the missing tracks perchance?
thanks for a beautiful reminder of some great musicians...
I'll try a vynil rip of the missing tracks next time I get a turn with the recording rig - in a couple of weeks hopefully.
Re Up please!!
Please, re up! I love their version of the cutty wren!!
Thanks a lot!!
