Ebbet's Field House?
haha! it was Ebbetts Field! named after some New York baseball team's field---but the place was the tiniest concert club imaginable for some of the biggest names in music: very long and thin room with the band not at the end but in the center against a wall with the audience raised by a few bleachers nearly sitting in their laps!
saw Fairport there, Captain Beefheart, Randy Newman, Little Feat, Tim Buckley, Primero Fortuno Marconi or whatever they were, Flo & Eddie...et al
She was i believe the greatest rock singer of them all right next to also late Janis Joplin. Her warm voice and most of all her tender songs are unrivaled and remain true classics.
What can i say? Her loss was one of the biggest in modern music and i need to say i big htank you once again to this dear old blog for sharig her beautiful art.

Of all the live recordings of Sandy Denny on Time Has Told Me, this is probably the best. The sound quality is pretty good and Sandy is very near.
But that's not all. Her performance is outstanding with an intensity and an expression second to none
It has been said that Sandy was full of stagefright when on her own. Indeed some nervousness is obvious when she talks inbetween songs. We also get some proof of her reputation as a teller of jokes that miss the point.
But when she starts singing there's only the song and she's in a world of her own, where stagefright is unknown. Frasing and timing are as good as they ever where or even better.
A big 'thank you' to whoever made this available on the net.
