I have and could post Mimi & Richard Farina - The Complete Vanguard Recordings, a 3-cd set that includes Memories, Even A Grey Day, Reflections on a Crystal WInd, and the live material.

I got the Von Schmidt/Farina off alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.folk newsgroup. It's good, though more sloppy than Richard's work with Mimi. It's about 320kbps, with a vinyl skip briefly in track 13 - Cocaine. Let me know if you want me to post any of those.

Also, I am looking for any more Eric von Schmidt if you have any.

And, for anyone who likes this kind of music, check out my blog, Wrath of the Grapevine for some Jim Kweskin Jug Band albums, among other things.

If you guys like the music, why don't you just BUY THE CDS????? All the Richard and Mimi Farina CDs are in print, even the Eric von Schmidt one. The only thing out of print is the Mimi Farina-Tom Jans album.

If you like music, BUY IT!!!!!

douglas,

I did buy it. That's why I'm offering to share it. Because it's better to support living musicians than dead ones.

Douglas, I do buy the CDs. I've bought far more CDs as a result of previewing artists and discs, than I ever did before downloading music. I'll bet this is true for most other people here.

The big companies (and likely you) will say that downloading is "immoral." I can't see what they complain of when they sell more records because of it.

What THEY do to artists is immoral!

And there is so much good music that they lock up and will not sell, because it will not make enough profit for them. But when collectors who love this music offer to share it, they want to stop the sharing! That too is immoral.

Roger, I have the Mimi and Tom Jans album but I don't want to tread on Jhonny's toes, so I'll wait to see if he posts it. If not I'll make sure you get it, no worries. Good to see you are still around, mate.
