John Denver "John Denver Sings" 1966
Dedicated to Milt Okun, John had 250 copies of this album produced in 1966. He gave it to friends and family as a personal Christmas gift. After hearing one of the tunes, 'Babe. I Hate to Go,' Peter, Paul and Mary later recorded the song for their only #1 single. By then, the title had been changed to 'Leaving on a Jet Plane,'
The rest, as they say, is history.
John's personal note says,
"Hank, This is the most that I can give and I want you to have it. Your friend, John"

Wow,you sure have had a run of great stuff these day. I haven't had time to check all of them out yet, but you know I was drawn to this Denver post.As usual, I was not dissapointed. Again, you have my sincere thanks.

Yet another deleted file. Yet another case where the "owner" won't offer the recording, but won't let anyone else do so either. Something's wrong with this picture ...
Not the owner - John Denver died 12 years ago ...
Just a freak who has fun to take others shovels - as long as he can't be seen by anyone ...
But maybe I'm wrong and it was "just" John's brother or mother.
(But don't believe this as he or she complains about anything near that special post ... She or he (the complainer) wouldn't even mind to complain about your cats miaow (of cuorse just after taking it for him- or herself ...) ;-) )
I'm so sad that this file is deleted!!! This would have been great to round out my collection. :(
