The guy was really prolific. Something like a Scot Elvis Costello perhaps. The more you hear these obscure LPs the more you realize how diverse and interesting his music is. He is best I think with his more serious side in some ways then in his more comic mode. Keep em coming!
Some of the best blues guitar picking anywhere can be heard on HI's covers of Mississippi John Hurt's 'Candyman' and Blind Blake's 'Early Morning Blues'.
