Allen Ginsberg/William Blake
"Songs Of Innocence & Experience" 1970

Musical settings of Blake's poems. I think this must be the one 'ge' asked for.
"Ginsberg's singing--crude, human, touching, superb--is an antidote to the temptation to transform Blake into artsong. Tricky melodies and virtuoso accompaniment would subvert the material. And this material is too good for that." Robert Christgau.
Ripped@256kbps.
Track List is in the file (album is wrongly titled 'Allen Ginsberg Sings William Blake').
Sorry, I don't have the artwork.

Wonderful wonderful! Here's a page with plenty of info and some album covers.
alas poor me! 'weep--weep'
[that's a joke on the Blake]--but i get the dread "Find program?' option insteada 'magical 'Open'! , so I try other nagging option or 2 offered, to no avail...exceeding my expertise- or paranoia-levels; ah for Liz's thisuser-friendly Rapidshare... however, thanks-- the hope has made my week regardless!
To 'ge':
Sharebee is just a distribution site, placing the file on various file-share sites, INCLUDING Rapidshare. Most people seem to like it because it gives them more options, but maybe your ISP is blocking it? Anyway, no problem. Here is the DIRECT Rapidshare link: http://rapidshare.com/files/61509132/AGSWB.rar.html
I know you really want this album, so if you have any more problems just leave a message here and I'll try to help out.
yes drat
i get 'find program' insteada 'open': happens about 20% from here. the next step i need to take is Rar--just got partway thru d-loading when they asked for $... I need a visit from a techier friend [where are they when ya need 'em?] to feel comfy with that.
Thanks a zillion...someday i will post Gordon Alexander & other strange gems, god knows i got 'em
ge:
Winrar is available at plenty of sites and no one should be charging for it. If anyone tries to, just download it from a different site. I'm assuming you managed to download the album ok? I'm sure Lizardson would welcome any strange gems! :-)
wow that wasnt too hard--listening now! -the rare experience of at last hearing one of my 'holiest of recorded grails' --& merely 4 the asking!-- thanks again to you or whoever originally posted-found-shared this.
I note its genre & vibe bears a unique US-avant-Beat relevance to the thrust of Lizardson's Brit-folk site! Curious to think my path and album players Ginsy's [rip], Orlovsky's & Don Cherry's [rip] crossed many times living in NYC ...[so now the challenge is reversing the process so as to share some of mine--the G. Alexander is on cd as 2 cuts side 1 & 2--if people won't mind that initial attempt]
