Pauline Filby "Show Me a Rainbow" 1969

FolkPhile:
Here is the link to Pauline Filby/Show Me a Rainbow. It's rated as highly collectible and is apparently quite rare. Since I like folk-psych so much (and that includes religious folk) I decided to attempt to "hunt down" this LP. It was easier than I'd thought and I found a copy online from an Australian seller.
Pauline Filby was, of course, a member of the UK group Narnia in the early '70s. Their album "Aslan Is Not A Tame Lion" was reissued on CD and it's in my collection. I tend to like Rainbow better, though - it showcases her wonderful voice better than Aslan does.
I hope that you'll enjoy this album.

Thanks again!!!

Thanks for this great album. It is much appriciated. Keep up the good work.
Where did they record it...?? In an old shoe with a megaphone.... ?
Shame about the recording quality... lovely songs though... thanks matey!!
Thanks for posting this. I'll have to download when I get off work. Do you know if the Aslan album is still available on CD? The record goes for huge amounts on ebay...as you already know of course.
What a disappointment ! My own fault though. I bought the CD and thankfully it was cheap. I like about 4 songs ( the ones with Gordon Giltrap ). There's little passion or urgency and only when you get to the Giltrap assisted songs do you get any beef and invention. The stuff she did with Narnia is utterly superior although it's true that, because Narnia's is a band effort, her voice is better projected here without a loud-ish band to compete with. She wrote all the Narnia material and it's arguable which are the better set. However, for musical invention and a good listening experience, there's no contest !!
By the way, I had to chase a copy of the Narnia CD to Finland before it came to me....! (grimtraveller )
