What is the exact meaning of "unknown
album"? Was an acetate such as Isolation or similar stuff?
How is possible that no info was written or printed on the acetate?

regards

The mp3 tags give the band's name as "The Galley", the label as "Stoof" and the catalogue number as MU7421. After a bit of searching this is an album called "Joke and push about the pitcher". It's an English band on a Dutch label, line up is: Frank Singleton, Paul Bellamy, Lynn Bellamy and Graham Thomas. Someone paid £135 on ebay for it!

They're definitely called THE GALLEY - see the album sleeve (i.e. part of a ship), not THE GALLERY (i.e. part of a medieval hall).
Elementary, my dear Lizardson!

...almost forgot the music...! It's traditional acoustic English folk - quite a lot of the songs are unaccompanied, sung in harmony by the ensemble, while others have guitar, melodeon and/or whistle backing. It's good - a bit like the Druids album you posted earlier this month in fact. Is it worth £135? You'll have to listen to it to find out!

Hi there,

The band is called The Galley and I still have this LP album. Really nice songs on it. Are they paying 135 for it? Well, sorry no selling by me.

The Gallery is a different band... the Gallery released "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" in 1972, not the Galley.
