All of you young people, and old for that matter, do yourselves a huge favor and download each and everyone of these "treasured" albums. If you consider yourself a person who loves music of this era, then you must have all of these albums and enjoy as much as I have thru the years. These are giants of the age and are must haves in any collection. Nick Drake is, well... he is simply Nick Drake, need I say more? I think not. Everyone simply enjoy! Dr. Q
When I was a young lad back in '69, I couldn't afford many full price albums and good old "Island" put out two great samplers at the time. "You can all join in" was one, the other was "Nice enough to eat". This was my first introduction to Nick Drake with the track "Time has told me". I wondered where this blog got it's name from. Ha ha!! The track was so very different from others featured on the album - Crimson, Free, Traffic, Tull, and who could forget HEAVY JELLY! 37 (yes, thirty-seven) years later and I still never tire of listening to Nick - a true legend - and I still love that Heavy Jelly track too!!
