I'd love to hear that Water Into Wine Band album if anyone's got it - the track on History of Underground Folk Rock Vol.1 is incredible. So, you're blog is consistently brilliant - the Pete Fine album (and link to The Flow) is one of the best things I've heard (for the first time) this year (- Red Television's album posted on Exhevika Fields is terrifically good). You haven't got Pete Fine's second solo album NORTHSTAR have you?
hi there. 1st and foremost thx for all those great bands we would know anywhere else :p (specialy dr.z hard to find stuff)
i have no specially request but i've been thinking some people would search for goliath, the uk one not the u.s. they only got one record (self titled 1970-71 ?) anyway no one seems to know this great psychedelic band with female vocal. (they sound a lil' bit like fusion orchestra - atnoher kool band you could talk about one of those days ^^)
so if you want to blog this band (goliath)but don't have the album you can easily dl it from slsk.org and if you don't find it i'll send it to you.
I'm searchin for the Dandelion. They were based in France and they made 2 records. The one with the track "La farfalla" is simply great. You can see something here
Lizardson, Once again, love your site.. love the stuff you have turned us onto. A couple of requests, please. What about: Aubrey Small- self titled Tea and Symphony- Jo Saga Foggy- Simple Gifts Mountain Ash Band- The Hermit (impossible to find) Wizz Jones The Sun Also Rises- S/T Skybird-S/T Water into Wine (impossible to find) Do you have any of these by the way? Thanks in advance if you do and would consider posting any of them! Cheers, Dr. Q
Heya! Would love to hear: Perry Leopold: Christian Lucifer or his first album, Ora: Ora, Heron: Heron and Single, Wizz Jones: first few albums, Gary Higgins: Red Hash, Tower Recordings: Furniture Music, Ian A. Anderson
First off, I love your blog. You're one of my top 5 most visted sites. Thanks for all of your generous contributions.
I've been requesting and searching for this new psych/prog/folk band from California called Silver Sunshine. I still haven't heard them but I've read really good things about them. I recently saw that there is a new Silver Sunshine "homemade" comp EP circulating around the web. Anyway, if you could post this i would really appreciate it!
Hi ! According your rare music posting I persume that you have also band SNAFU and their Selftitled album or second Situation Normal? If you have and post one you'll make my day ! Anyhow thax for great music I can download !!
Love your site!! How about some Robin Williamson first solo album, or Ian & Sylvia. Also Perhaps some Jim Kweskin stuff.......... Thank you for this wonderful blog!!!!
Hi! Long time no new post so I decided to try my luck with with rare request !? Here it is : Yvonne Fair - The Bitch Is Black This album from 1975 exist only as LP ( maybe in Japan as CD ).You will make my year not only a day when postvinyl rip!! Thx in forward and for all good music you post before !!
hi ! I'm a french young fan of nick drake and i really enjoyed your web page ... I saw the album "time has told me" ( CD stockage) in a music store and I asked myself if the sound has been remasterised since the vinyl edition... do you know that ? I heard the cd and it seemed to be quite good but not perfect... thank you very much.
Thanks for your comments. There is tons of CDs and LPs repressed by several bootleggers after limited original pressing selling out. Some are "bit better" but most of them are nearly same quality as original. I think that there is a limit to mastering such home recordings & demos.
Hi all together! I need your help to identify a particular song I heard in the radio in 1973 (!!!). As far as I can remember it must have been a new record release at that time. Fortunately I could record 1 and a half songs on my tape deck, so I ask you now kindly to listen to these songs. You find them here:
http://www.oekon.de/mp3/anonymous1.mp3
It is a very fine sort of folkrock. Please listen - maybe you can help me to find what I try to since more than 30 years... Thanks
Actually the Tir Na Nog records remind me that I was searching for the only LP of "Emmet Spiceland" since many years which wasn't released as a CD. If I'm right it was the band of Leo Kelly before Tir Na Nog. They played traditional irish stuff. Thanks Wolfgang
Hi I don't know if this request will be lost in the avalanche of stuff requested so far but here goes:
Bob Pegg & Nick Strutt a 70s British folk duo with ties to Fairport and the Mr Fox band I think. You don't see much of their stuff now. I am especially looking for song called 'The Hedgerow Song' been after it for years. The album The Shipbuilder' is great also.
Keep up the great work this is one of my fave blogs.

i agree with the girl/ guy who requested Midwinter - The Waters Of Sweet Sorrow and i would request Stone Angel's second effort. altogether very stoneangelic request. Many thanks in advance. Your blog is excellent.
This may be too rare, but have you ever heard of a vinyl bootleg by The Trees called 'Trees Live!', released in Italy, 1989? I'd love to hear it, particularly as 8/9 tracks appear not to be from the two offical albums. Thanks in advance if anyone has this release. Steve

Hello First and foremost, I'd like to say that I thank you for the great work you've done on your weblog to make people discover great albums.
Here are my requests : I'd like to see on "Time Has Told Me" Kazuki Tomokawa's ablums because it is very hard to find those kind of items here (in France), and as you're Japanese, I thought you could help me ^^
Marvellous site; my requests: Andy Pratt's first album "Records are like life"(1971); The Leopards "Kansas City Slickers" (1977); John PArker Compton "To Luna" (1971), and a lost pop gem: The late show and their record "Portable Pop".
Hi. Thanks for a great blog. I have for a long time tried to find a copy of "Shades Of MacMurrough" but no luck so far. Hope that somebody here can give me a hint.
You will be pleased to hear that his classic early albums have just been released at last on a double CD called "Keeper of the Fire" - it includes the "Bob Pegg & Nick Strutt" album, "Ancient Maps" and "The Shipbuilder" as well as some unreleased material. In the UK it costs £8.99 - a bargain!
I wish you could download "Tranquility" their 1st and 2nd album..they were a great folk rock band.
One you haven't mentioned would be the bizzare album 9and album cover) "Pigeon" that has a real pigeon in a sandwich, but they have a real trippy folk song called "milk & honey"!
First off, let me thank you for a fantastic site. So much of your rare acid/folk music is now in my collection - some I thought I'd never see again and some I'd never heard of but which are now firm favourites. I have only one request, "The Going's Easy" by The Greatest Show On Earth (UK horn and organ driven prog 1970). I have just found their first album, "Horizons" and it's fantastic. I have even happier memories of their second and can only hope you have it and would be kind enough to share. Please keep up the good work. Cheers.
I've been looking for Spider John Koerner and Willie Murphy's "Music Is Just a Bunch of Notes" for a long time. It would be delicious candy if you had it and could post it. Your site is ridiculously amazing.
Lizardson, thank you for the treasures! The recent Tomokawa post of his first album was amazing. Do you have any other seventies Japanese folk treasures? Musashino tampopo club? Hayakawa Yoshio's early solo album? Anything form 1969-1975 would be wonderful, and many will appreciate these as well I think! Thank you so much for your effort!
i'm devoted to incredible string band.i'd like all theirs bootlegs (the series bamore hoard and god's holyday) and the unofficial CDs of Robin Williamson many thanks
I see none of the 7 i requested could be found (about 15 messages back)...so i thought i would try 2 others (even though they are not really folk rock).
1. Puzzle - 2nd album (they were a motown jazz soul band)
2. Eddie Jobson - zinc the green album (an electronic jazz album)
Hi. First, thanks! This is a great log with a lot of really good music. Also could you please reupload the Sandy Denny record "The North Star Grassman and the Ravens"
Viewing you request page I wonder why no one seems to be interested in the "Stone Angel" and "Wooden O" records. So I now ask you to post them soon! thanks again...
Stone Angel - 1975 - The Holy Rood of Bromholm [Live] Stone Angel - 2001 - East of the Sun Wooden O - 1971 - Handful of Pleasant Delites
Thanks for Greatest Show On Earth, I'm a great fan from Be-Bop Deluxe and, if it's possible, I'd like to download the following CDs:"FUTURAMA", "SUNBURST FINISH" and "DRASTIC PLASTIC". I'm from Brazil and these cds are so expensive. Thanks once again.
This is a wonderful blog. I've been collecting this music for years and there's still masses of stuff here I've never heard before. REQUEST - could you repost the NICK DRAKE GUEST WORKS?? many thanks C
please post the following: 11.59 (Eleven Fifty Nine) - 1974 - Our Sacrifice of Praise Ian Campbell Folk Group - 1969 - with Dave Swarbrick Ian Campbell Folk Group - 1970 - The Sun is Burning Krysia - 1974 – ST Madrigal - 1973 - Beneath the Greenwood Tree Marie Little - 1972 - ST

Hi, can you post The Beatles boot "Arrive Without Aging". I downloaded it from http://corneliussaid.blogspot.com/ but it was all corrupt! And.. .any Dr. Ebbetts is also greatly welcomed.
Do you have or have you heard Hard Cash,1989-90 featuring Richard Thompson, the Watersons, Martin Carthy, June Tabor? Had been written for a BBC documentary but never shown. I have a vinyl copy that an ex-house mate scratched to death while drunk!
I love your blog! I have downloaded several days worth of music already, and check daily for more. I really appreciate it.
Do you have "Under the Tree" by Shide and Acorn? I found "Princess of the Island" and "Legend of the Dream Stones" on other blog sites - the only one left for me to hear is "Under the Tree." That's my request! Yoroshiku!
Do you have any Shide and Acorn? Specifically, I am looking for "Under the Tree." I found other Shide and Acorn records on other blogs, and really enjoyed them, but this record seems very rare.
I love your blog! Thanks for all your hard work, I am learning a lot about folk music.
I never cease to be amazed at the wealth of music that you have acquired. Please post Jack the Lad - Rough Diamonds (in your Coming? list) and/or any other Jack the Lad. Thanks

So, you're blog is consistently brilliant - the Pete Fine album (and link to The Flow) is one of the best things I've heard (for the first time) this year (- Red Television's album posted on Exhevika Fields is terrifically good). You haven't got Pete Fine's second solo album NORTHSTAR have you?

Hi,

Bedlam - Live In London 1973 (feat. Cozy Powell)
Aveek
Thanks for a quantum blog!
Do you have any Saint Just or Jenny Sorrenti?
Thanks
To French Drake fan.
Thanks for your comments.
There is tons of CDs and LPs repressed by several bootleggers after limited original pressing selling out.
Some are "bit better" but most of them are nearly same quality as original.
I think that there is a limit to mastering such home recordings & demos.
Take care...
Saint Just - La casa del lago

Thanks
Wolfgang

Hi! Great Music on your site! I'm looking for the Peel Sessions with June Tabor. Any chance?
EXCELLENT POP FOLKY BANDS!
You mean "Pidgeon"?
yeah, it's a really strange cover-art.
