Mr Lizardson, you have done a wonderful job in turning me on to all sorts of music I might never have heard otherwise. In particular The Albion Band and The Watersons. Thank you so much.

  4. Thank you immensely for providing all the great music. This is hands down the best website I've ever visited. And I thought I knew obscure folk. There are a few expired links to bands I would love to hear: Colin Hare, Perry Leopold, Nick Garrie, Gary Farr, Eric Justin Kaz, Robin Scot, and Heron. I would love to hear any of these. Thank you so much again.

  25. Lizardson,

Cheers, mate, for finding and posting so many of these great and unfortunately obscure records -- I've gotten hip to several new artists through this blog, and tracked down a few albums by some old faves as well. I'd be very interested in checking out that record by the McPeake family, but the download seems to be somehow corrupt -- I've tried several times, but it always gets to 26.7MB and stalls out. I'd much appreciate a re-up.

    Cheers,

    Absintheur

  26. Lizardson,

Many, many thanks for the Third Ear Band link ... I must have missed or something, but thank you again.

Btw ... just this evening I downloaded the Honeybus anthology you have posted. This is BRILLIANT!! I am enjoying it so much, so thanks is in order for that as well. I was skeptical about it as it is not usually my cup-o-tea, but this is great. I decided to give it a try after the reading the comment left by Newelectricmuse in the Storyteller (which I also enjoy) post.

Thank you, thank you ... not enough thank yous

I asked earlier but I still haven't been able to download the Hemlock (Cock and Bull) album 'All Buttoned Up)

Some people called Gonzo and Toronto seem to have copies, and I would love to get a download of it.

I'm a massive fan of Dave Whetstone and am getting 'The Resolution' for Christmas. I hope this Hemlock album will complete my set, although if anyone knows how to get hold of any Dave Whetstone music I would love to hear from them.
