For all of you kind enough to remember Hunter Muskett with affection (if not reverence!), do try and catch us at the Aspinell Arms in Clitheroe on Friday 7 May 2010 for our first reunion gig in 40 years. Same line up - same songs - same arrangements. See Aspinell Arms website for details.

Hi Lizsardson, Thanks for the appreciation, and I have no problem with folks downloading/purchasing our material, as long as someone lets us know! It may be nearly forty years old, but it still means a lot to us, and it's great to know there are still appreciative folk out there, but it's important that whoever is re-releasing our stuff is aware that we ain't dead yet! Thanks,

Thanks Mr. Doug Morter,
We are always respecting great musicians like you.

Message from Terry Hiscock (of Hunter Muskett)

I think both our albums are now available on cd. I obtained one from Amazon the other day. And talking about Ralph McTell, what a great tour that was. We played to great audiences in some of the country's best venues, supporting one of the nicest guys in the business. It doesn't get much better than that. I've gone all misty-eyed. Enjoy the songs.

"Hunter Muskett " (UK Folk-Rock 1973)

Reissue of a long deleted UK folk rock rarity from 1973. After having released excellent albums in 1971 and 1973 the band disappeared. Great multi-part harmonies, fluid electric guitar and strong songs with a rustic vibe and twist of West Coast rock (a bit like Decameron). This, their second album, was produced by Keith Relf of the Yardbirds/Rennaisance. And Michael Giles (ex. King Crimson) is appeared as guest drummer.

One of the better British folk rock rarities of the classic '70's folk rock era..

Chris George (Ac-g, G, Hmca, Vo)
Doug Morter (Ac-g, G, Vo)
Terry Hiscock (ac-g, p, org, Vo)
Roger Trevitt (B, Vo, Mrba, Per)
Michael Giles: ex. King Crimson (Ds)
Jim McCarty (Per)

Producerd by Keith Relf

Hunter Muskett

"Every Time You Move" 1970

One of the rarest albums of folk-rock originally released on Decca Nova in 1970 is now reissued to extend the knowledge of this great trio formed by Chris George, Terry Hiscock and Doug Morter, and later produced by Keith Relf on their second self titled LP 1973. Absolutely mandatory
